The Blog is Back!
It's been a busy month on this end, but we've worked hard and had some fun along the way. Our master bedroom/bathroom remodel is ahead of schedule and looking really good. As soon as the final touches are done, I will post a few pictures. It's been a long road, but we're very happy with results. I owe many thanks to my cousin Julio from Toronto, his friend Anthony, and my Dad for all of their hard work. While there were in town, we got to have some fun too. Here's a picture from our boat trip with Dad.
Even our Anthony got to try something new, like ride a Harley with Julio! Here they go...
Here's a nice photo of them on the Harley:
On the restaurant front, I wanted to make a couple of recommendations. First, for breakfast, you may want to consider the City's Cafe & Marketplace on 4th Street in St. Pete, near 30th Avenue. It was pretty good. For lunch or dinner, I recently tried the Parkshore Grill on Beach Drive in St. Pete (check it out at: http://www.parkshoregrill.com/). Ask for Peter, and tell him I sent you. Right next to Parkshore Grill is a new italian gelato (ice cream) place that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Check it out at: http://www.paciugo.com/ , and go to locations to get the details of the St. Pete location. I'm talkin' CRAZY DELICIOUS!!! Bring the family.
This past weekend, we went with Lorrie and Jim to another pretty interesting concept called Dinner Done (www.dinnerdone.com). This is one of the new places where you pick a menu and prepare foods, and take them home for future meals. Although the initial reaction may be that it seems too expensive, or not something that's for you, I have to tell you that I was thoroughly impressed with the caliber of the kitchen/prep area, the food, and the attention to detail in preparing the meals, and instructing you to properly make them at home. We are hooked!! Here's Chef Lorrie and Chef Donna making a wonderful dish. BAM!!!
Last but not least, we've been working on Anthony's boxing skills. He's been doing better, and now we've got something else for him to hit other than me (thank goodness!). Except for the stray kick, he's got some good skills.
Here's how it's supposed to look:
In the meantime, enjoy your Wednesday, and hope you enjoy tonight's postings.
